Re: 68-72 verses 73 and up front drive shafts
The trucks with the 205s(70-72) and some newer models(73-??) had longer driveshafts than the older ??-69 4wds that had the 221 t case

Re: 68-72 verses 73 and up front drive shafts
I've got to check this one out, I have a front driveshaft from an 87 hanging in the barn, and the u joints are all shot in the 72.....maybe it will fit.

Re: 68-72 verses 73 and up front drive shafts
Early model 205's had u bolts to hold the drive shaft to the yoke.
Later model 205's and all the 203's that i saw, had a flat flange to bolt to another flat flange on the TC. I'm not sure about the early Rockwell case's. But they probley had the u bolt design too. |

Ol Buck - sorry about your luck, but no interchange...
My Rockwell is U-bolted at both ends IIRC. |
