Pictures of cowl screen.

I plan on making a screen possibly out of .125 DIA perforated aluminum. How are you guys attaching the screens that you are using? What cool ideas are you using? Anyone have a template?

Anyone use the stainless unit that GMC Paul sells?

Re: Pictures of cowl screen.

I make the screens out of 1/4" mesh, galvanized hardware screen for our trucks, (I have installed (6) so far. They work very well to keep the leaves out.

The material that I have is not long enough to go all the way across so I use two pieces about 4" wide overlapping them to insure coverage. I cut holes out for the squirters and wiper arm shafts. I paint the screens with a flat black and when installed the screens are almost invisible. The screen is trapped between the cowl and cowl cover with the mounting screws installed through the screen.

Here is a pic of the screen as installed onto my 71.
