Speaker Location

Does anybody know a decent place to put speakers in a '69 Chevy?

I have 2 3 way 6x9's in small boxes in front of the seat on the passenger and drivers sides no real problems except when my short wife drives it with the seat all the way up.

Boy, is THIS a recurring topic. I have Kicker 4" components with flush tweeters in the door PANELS where replacing the panels will return it to stock. The crossovers are mounted on the kickpanels. I have a Kicker 10" free air sub in an open back "box" under the passengers seat. I use Alpine head units which are pull-outs and I have several I swap between. I also have a Crossfire 100x4 amp powering it up and an Alpine CD changer. IMO, this was the best compromise between sound and practicality (keeping the spare under the bed and tank in the cab) And yes, it sounds AWESOME!

I built a consol to go over the hump. It houses 2 6x9's. I am putting 2 6 1/2 speackers in the doors and thinking about a 8'' sub under the seat. This is all in the works but it is the most practical thing that I could think of.

Maybe we should make an FAQ page http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

are a few of these q's that come by every few weeks http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif
