Manual lock-out hubs
Ive got an 89 Jimmy, Id like to put some manual hubs on it. How much would these help mileage? Where can I find them and how much should I expect to pay for them?

Re: Manual lock-out hubs
I did a search on Google for Warn Hubs and found a pair for approximately $90. I didn't really notice a change in mileage afterwards.

Re: Manual lock-out hubs
I don't think so..other than tools. You will need a set of snap ring pliers and maybe a good set of picks (sp?). One thing you might want to consider when you swap them out is to check (and maybe grease) your wheel bearings and make sure the spindle nut is properly torqued. You will need to buy a spindle nut socket for that...any auto parts store should have one. I ran in to that problem when I installed my hubs, both spindle nuts were very loose.
