HELP!!! Engine misses

I took my truck out for a drive today, and it seems like the engine is missing. I don't notice anything at all at idle, but under a load it surges and misses. no backfire or anything. The engine is a 77 350 c.i. with no emissions stuff. I ran the tank down to a little under 1/4 tank, but filled it back up(trash in the gas?). The spark plug wires are practically new and it ran fine 2 days ago. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it could be bad gas water or something.

You could try some drygas and run it low again before you fill up.

If the gas is the only thing that changed I would just go over everything and try that first.

Maybe a fuel filter. If it's a quadrajet, beware because you probably have an integrated fuel filter on the carb as well as any additional ones any POs might have put there. It's a small filter and they get clogged easily... basically it'll run fine until you ask it for any power.
