and i can't seem to find one :( guess i am not using the right words, but i swear it's been asked.
can you use a '68 crossmember with '72 arms, coils, spindles, discs, etc? or will it not work? both are from half ton. |

I don't see why not shifty...........I would think that you can......

Shifty, yeah it'll work fine. You will have to fab or find brake lines and use ball joints for the year of the spindles. You will also need the entire tie-rod from the newer truck (ends are different thread and the studs are bigger.) And you have to trim the steering stop on the new spindle (leave about 1/2 inch of it.) I swapped 72 disc spindles into my 69:

Yes. That is exactly what i'm doing to mine. Changing ball joints and tie rod ends. Very easy swap
