Correct Ram Horns?
I picked up a set of ram horn manifolds which I want to use on my 67. The truck is being converted from an I6 to V8 in the V8 location. The rams I got have one dumping stright down and the other dumping angled back. Will these work for my set-up. I don't have the engine in yet so I can't check it out.

Re: Correct Ram Horns?
If it's a 2 wheel drive they sholud both be angled back.
4 wheel drive manifolds dump straight down. And 67~68 have a mount on the front edge of the driver side manifold for the alternator! |
Re: Correct Ram Horns?
My 67 is 2 wheel drive. Does this mean I won't be able to use the center dump manifold?

Re: Correct Ram Horns?
I would think you could you might need to incorporate some 4WD exhaust parts that bolt to the manifold, Check and ake sure about the Alternator bracket, though. Good Luck

Re: Correct Ram Horns?
It seems I`ve seen some 2wds have both curved and some had one center, like a 4wd.

Re: Correct Ram Horns?
I checked and`67 w/283 called for a center straight dump on the passenger side, the same part as a 4wd.The same for a 327 in 67/68.I think the 307s and 350s had the matching turned dumps.Don`t ask why.I would think they were all interchangeable on 2wds.
