Need help with tires size!!!!
I am restoring my 69 cst blazer, and I am wanting to know what is the biggest tire that I can run with a 6 inch lift. I am not rock crawling, or even off roading. This is gonna be a street only blazer. I was hoping I could put 38's....but i am unsure..... Any help would be appreciated.....

Re: Need help with tires size!!!!
There's a guy near me running 38's and a 6" lift. The suspension is super, super stiff. Even the slightest flex and the tires will rub. 35's are usually recommended with a 6" lift. You can run bigger tires, but you'll probably need to do some fender trimming. The wheel off-set is key too. Also, keep in mind that anything above 35's isn't recommended with the half ton running gear.
Not all 35" tires are 35" tall. I'd do some shopping around to find some true 35's. |

1/2 ton axles will not have the braking capacity needed to stop those big tires either. Steering becomes another big issue, more lift mandates changes there to make things safe as well. Welcome to the board. |
