Rearend ?

Will a posi-unit and all the guts out of a 1981 truck 12-bolt swap with a 12-bolt 1972 rearend? I don't think the posi if a factory unit, but my cousin spent a lot of money on this rearend and now the truck is parked and is going to let me swap if possible. The 81' is a 373 and the 72' is a 307 if that makes any difference.......Thanks Jason

That will work, if you were just swapping gears you might have a problem but since you swapping the carrier also it will work.
