lowering blocks

how do you install lowering blocks on a 2002 ext.cab 1/2 ton? all the instructions i have read show the leaf springs under the axle but my leafs are on top does that make a difference?

thanks in advance for your help!

Re: lowering blocks

you can't it will lift it, you need drop shackles (i think they make them) or a flip kit witch will give you about 5" of drop

Re: lowering blocks

drop shackles will give you 2" drop. You should be able to get them on in about 30-40 minutes. If you want to go lower than this, next step is to get 2" drop hangers (these are the front leaf spring mounts). Little more work to put them on. A flip kit will net you a full 6".
