need some more help please! suspension

I am wanting to buy drop spindles for my '70 3/4 ton. I have not found any yet for the 3/4 ton's. My question is can I put spindles on it off of a '71 or '72 1/2 ton without changing the a arms? I know I will need to change to disk brakes and all of that stuff, but are the a arms the same? If not can I use 1/2 ton a arms without changing the crossmember? Anyone done this? Thank you.

If I remember correctly, 3/4T & 1/2T control arms are different (ball joint hole larger on bottom arm) But, I think you have 2 options... you can use all the 1/2T stuff (spindles, brakes, control arm upper & lower) they bolt right onto your crossmember. OR you can use 73-79 3/4T spindles. you may need to change ball joints, but the new ball joints will fit directly into your control arms. Double check at a parts store to be sure the original (70 3/4T) ball joints outside diameter may be the same as 73-79, it's just the taper of the threaded part is different. You may need to change outer tie rod ends also. The complete steering linkage set-up from either 71-72 or 73-79 will bolt in directly. PM me with any more questions.
Hope this helps.
Some one else chime in if I'm wrong here, please.
