4wd front axle

Someone told me you are supposed to be able to turn the front drive shaft by hand with the truck in 2hi, and the front wheels not locked? Mine doesnt what could be the problem?

np 203 tcase. or the tcase isn't in 2hi.

no , it shouldnt turn if you have a 203 , they use a planetary gear set , to be full time 4 wheel drive . unless its been converted or in neutral , the front and rear drives are linked . but if you have a 205 , it should spin freely .
