steering column interchange?
Would a steering column from an '80 4spd 2wd truck work in my '75 4spd 4x4? The wiring the same? Thanks in advance.

Re: steering column interchange?
I'm not sure on your years, I was looking at putting a 75 tilt in a 73 and the wiring looked a little different but the switch that the wiring hooked to was interchangable. good luck.

Should work fine.

Re: steering column interchange?
i believe that 83 or 84 is when they moved the wipers to the column and thats the change.. im not sure if you could switch off the arms and use the convert columns but there is a bigger hole for the wiper arm than the one with just the turn signal other than that there is no difference between two and four wheel drive columns

Re: steering column interchange?
The 75 column should have a splined end, the 80 should be a double flat on the column shaft. This won't be a problem if you get the mating column coupling shaft. 84 was the first year for wipers on the column.
