WTB vacuum gage
I have a 67-72 instrument cluster with everything but a vac gage. Are they available?

Re: WTB vacuum gage
I got one. PM me and I'll tell you more.

Re: WTB vacuum gage
You will need the "changeover kit" with several new components to put a vac in your cluster. Check out the vendors's or catalogs to see what is involved.

Re: WTB vacuum gage
PickMup, I looked in the YearOne catalog and I don't see any reference to a vac gage adapter or whatever. Do you have to make changes to the circuit board on the instrument cluster? What do I need to make to include a vac gage? Thanks

Re: WTB vacuum gage
I have PM from a couple of guys that have gages but, I don't want to commit myself if I can't make the changeover to add a vac gage.

Re: WTB vacuum gage
you have to have the gauge, the tin insert for the guages to show through and the backing plate that holds both the oil guage and the vac. guage. you do not have to have anything else other than your guages and if you are running factory tach ,that particular printed circuit

Re: WTB vacuum gage
You also need the right plastic lens.

Re: WTB vacuum gage
I did the conversion, what you need is the lens, vac gauge, and the front tin that has the correct hole. The rear or back tin doesn't matter they are all the same, except for the tach and non-tach setups. The same little metal plate that the oil gauge is bolted to can be used for the vac gauge as well.
So what you need is: 1. lens 2. vac gauge 3. the front tin that has the correct hole. |
