Re: Trying to get fender off,HELP!!
sorry but i you dont need to drill any welds
there are bolts on from the core support (top and bottom), inner fenders. side of firewall under cowl cover, grill, and fron under the truck the is a bolt or two at the bottom of the door piller. am i missing any spots? |
Re: Trying to get fender off,HELP!!
Shouldn't be any spot welds to drill. Did you get around the inner wheel well? Should be a few where the grill would be going into the side. A couple behind where the cowl panel is. A bigger one underneath by the door. Hope this helps.

Re: Trying to get fender off,HELP!!
On my 72 there were no spot welds to drill out. There are I think 4 bolts that hold the front of the fender to the rad support. A few that hold the bottom of the front fender well to the bottom of the rad support if taking off the fender well and fender as a unit. The bolts that hold the fender to the fender well. One bolt on the bottom of the fender that bolts it to the cab. 2 bolts that are bolted to the top of fender under the cowling. If your taking the fender well out there is also one bolt under the fender well that bolts it to the cab.

Re: Trying to get fender off,HELP!!
Exactly what "Dastuck" said, except my '67 has a bolt from the inner fender to the battery tray as well.

thanks for the info I got it off, good thing it wasn't salvageable because I went and drilled out all the spot welds that hold the shell on the inner part
