sheet metal gauge?
What gage sheet metal do I need to weld up the firewall? I am removing all the ac stuff and want to fill in the holes. Thanks

Sorry I can't give you a number guys, I bought a new COMPLETE front end including hood and new doors for mine.
I used the old doors and hood for patch panels, You may hit the scrap yard for a damaged door/hood to cut panels from. May even be cheaper than buying new sheet metal. |

I've been using 20 gauge on mine. seems to be real close to the thickness of the original.
BTW, sheet metal is cheap... I just buy "drops" from the local steel retailer. |
