air line through crossmember?

How did you run your air line for your front bags? Did you drill a hole in your crossmember? If so did you use a grommet or just wrap your air lines?

Re: air line through crossmember?

I drilled a hole through my crossmember and used bulkhead fittings to route the line. Came out real clean, I have not installed my motor or trans yet, but I don't think the lines will be too close to cause any problems. I plan on running hard lines down the frame rails to the tank.

I put a 90 on the bag and a whole in the rear of the crossmember with a grommet. Its been that way for about 4 years without any problems.

You can use grommets, or another option is drill a larger hole and put a piece of fuel line through, then run your airline through that.

I drilled a hole, put in a grommet, slid a piece of clear hose over my line & ran all that through the grommet

No problems for me
