Re: factory oil pressure fitting help
Removing em with anything but a six point is a must even used pr of vice grips also. Best to get one from a member a original item or e-bay. I had no luck w/replacement @ the parts store either.

Re: factory oil pressure fitting help
Is it the copper or plastic line? If it's plastic it will be an easier fix with a ball nut (I think that's what it's called, someone will know the proper name if it's wrong), if it's copper you need a flange tool. The nut itself I believe is 7\16, I went to home depot to find one instead of the local auto parts store. You can find both types of nuts I'm talking about there in the plumbing section, possibly a flange tool too.
EDIT: I guess I should of asked, Do you needed the actual fittig that goes into the intake or the nut with the line attached that bolts to the fitting iself? If you have the actual fitting off (the piece that goes into the intake), take it with you to home depot, you can get that there also. |
Re: factory oil pressure fitting help
i could have specified better. its the copper line and i need the nut that attaches to the fitting (the upper part with the line in it). it looked like the copper line is pressed into it.

You will need a 1/8" compression nut & sleeve. Your local hardware store, or auto parts store, or plumbing shop should have it.... It would be the first two parts on this page. http://www.plumbingworld.com/compres..._fittings.html LockDoc |

Is this the part you need?. I think this is the line that goes from the gauge and connects to the other line at the back of the intake. LockDoc is correct!

Well, after reading your post again scroll on down to the "Compression x Mips Adapters" section on that same page. If you need the part that screws into the block it will be the "1/8" Comp x 1/8" Mips" fitting. LockDoc |

Yup, those are just basic plumbing parts.
