Front Brake Hoses
I have an 85 Suburban with a 4" lift and I've been working on getting it ready for off road. My friend has an 83 K5 Blazer he bought with a 4" lift too and he's been asking me about the front brake hoses. Mine are stock and his look like they are the stock length too. Are extended brake hoses required or just nice to have. Is there another alternative to buying hoses...like a relocation bracket or something? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Front Brake Hoses
I ran a 4 inch lift with stock brake line with no problems, but I never really pushed to full flex either. Mostly mud bog and river runs. I have heard that 4 inch and below is ok without modifications. I looked but could not find the Brake Line Relocation Bracket sold separately so longer lines may be your only option if you are worried about binding. If you are running larger than stock wheels I recommend braided hoses anyway to help with brake pressure. I have run stock and braided and you can definitely tell the difference in pedal feel.
