I know this has come up before, but the solid mast antenna was not stock on our trucks. I know that there will be those who argue the opposite. The purpose of the fixed-length (solid mast) was for the FM wavelength. AM radios got better reception with longer a antenna length. But, the FM broadcast signal was not improved upon by a longer antenna.
SO, if you want a correct-appearing, i.e. stock, look, then a sectional antenna is correct. If you want an antenna that is more funtional for your FM radio (you don't still listen to AM do you?), get a solid mast. |
