lots, if not most here, use the stock trailing arm setups under their trucks ... just bolt the bag in place of the rear coil ... drill a few holes ... waa-laa, you're done

the problem with just bolting the bag in place is that it wont lay out. so i was wondering if people are raising the whole frame section or just putting the bags over the axle notch and 2 inch block

2" block still won't lay out. You will need a step notch, but before you can use all of it, the arms will hit the frame. I have seen people Z the rear just behind the cab.

you're right ... it won't "lay out" with bags on stock arms ... you also didn't say that's what you were attempting to do in your first post.

You can get pretty low with stock rear arms, blocks and some mods to the wheel wells. If your on a budget, that's about as good as it gets. "Laying out" will add to the cost...$$$$

The '64 I just bought will lay rocker with stock arms and a rear "Z" , but it hits the arms with the frame as it does. The cab is channeled 3" too though.

bags on TA's in the coil location and 3" blocks. It might lay with smaller wheels/tires (those are 31.5" 22/40series), but then you wouldn't want to run such big blocks...

Here is the truck I just bought with 215/75/15's up front and 28/12.5/15 Sportsman Pro's out back. There is about a 1/2" between the floor and any part of the truck's frame/body completely aired out. The rear "Z" wasn't done very straight, so it will probably get re-done in 2"x3" tubing and plated to the frame correctly.
