Heater core air flow

Can anyone tell me where the heater core gets fresh air to heat my cab?

My truck has sat most of the last year +, and I don't have the heat capacity I used to. I'm guessing the air flow is clogged with leaves...

My guess it has a mouse nest in it. I think it gets its air from the cowl & yes leaves can get in there too.

Yep clean all that crap outta there and you'll be good as new. I took the cover off the heater core under the hood and a shop vac/leaf blower. Messy but none the less effective. Good luck. Mike...

Four screws, as I remember...plus some electrical connections and coolant lines to the heater core.....

Once you get into it, you'll find a lot of opportunties for "stoppage of the air flow". I hope you can find them and clean it out w/o finding other "problems".
