Can anyone tell me how to find out what the horsepower is of my 90 C1500 with a 350?:chevy:

Re: Horsepower
Let's see, that would be a 350 with a TBI unit, possibly a 700R4 automatic tranny. The best guess will be around 160 HP. These engines are a low compression model and has been touted as being quite enemic in performance.

Re: Horsepower
From Chiltons:
VIN K 305 w/TBI C/K Trucks Net 155hp @ 4000rpm / Net Torque 300 @ 2400rpm Comp Ratio 8.5:1 |
Re: Horsepower
350 with a 5 speed man tranny if that matters.

Re: Horsepower
I thought I remember reading that on a 89-91 Suburban (square body style) that there were two versions of the 5.7 (350); 190hp and 210hp. Not sure which came with what but I woud assume either it had to do with emissions or tonnage. 1/2 ton vs. 3/4?
Would the new body 1500 truck have a different engine? |
Re: Horsepower
