Project "Olive" 67 stepper...

Well I don't have pics from the very start of this project but it is still very much of a project so here goes... Before I bought the 64 I was wanting a shop truck/rat and had just about enough parts laying around to build a complete truck.. All I needed was a frame and a title... I went on craigslist and bought a complete truck for $600.00... So the project begins... I wanted to build an Army themed truck.. Olive green with little twists here and there.. The original plan was to throw a big block I have in it but I am now leaning towards a 350/700r4 I have... I got my hands on a Vortech supercharger and want to build the big block around that.... Here are some pics... The pile of junk parts are whats left of the truck I bought for the frame and title... The dash is my creation... I was thinking Army jeeps have the speedo in the middle of the dash so.... KP notch in the rear and I Z'd the frame 3" in the front and am running drop spindles and a 73 up crossmember as well...

I was originally going to run steel 20"s from a ram but would not work with the stepside bed.... Here are more pics..

More pics... Cab is very clean... just surface rust here and there due to being stored in a damp shed.. Long story pi$$ed me off!!! Motor was a strong runner out of a 72 4x4 I bought for parts... It will get torn apart cleaned up and painted.. I decided to go tan with the wheels but am going to run a polished COPO style dog dish.. The pics of it sitting outside were before the Z'd frame.. Lastly F-Bomb was my inspiration for the olive green Army theme... Stay tuned for more!!

+1

I know you are not using these anymore but am wondering about them. I like the simplicity and availability. What issues did you have and what adapters?

Ok time to get this project done! Im back on it and excited to get it done! Here are a few pics of what I have goin on with it! I painted the doors and did the artwork on them... I scored some military taillights that I am going to run but I will move them around and sink them in to the side of the bed a little and I am messing around with a few different dog dish ideas... Stay tuned!

Nice! Glad to see you're back on it. I am lovin' those taillights.

Congrats on the '54 in (Custom?) Classic Trucks, if you still own it, and I can't see why you wouldn't!
