Where do these wires go?
 

I just pulled the cover on my tranny and see these two wires hanging, where should they go? I am going to drop the tranny and transfer case, get the tranny rebuilt and clean and paint everything underneath. Transfer case was originally orange, right ? Thanks

Good Question. I also have the same wires hanging down, with a black angled spade connector. They feed back to the firewall above the fuseblock and go thru to the inside...Any ideas guys?

I've looked at my wiring diagram with no luck

Just a guess. But I would say they're for the back-up lights with a 4 speed. GM used to be great about wiring for either or.

I bet they are part of some emissions stuff they tryed for a few years. some sort of spark,timing,shifting thing. I forget what they called it, when I cleaned up my blazer I got rid of that and it's relay up under the dash by the brake pedal.

Maybe, mine was a standard shift at one time. But, that big red one has me stumped, the plastic connector was melted so it pulled some heavy amps at one time...


I'll check out that relay. I was sorta thinking electric choke, but don't know

The end of the big red wire on mine is also melted.
