Here's a little teaser. TO BE CONTINUED....... Check out the brand new engine hoist with load leveler I got off craigslist for $100, it hadn't even been put together yet.

Here's a few more pics for everyone. Spent this weekend replacing the body mounts and installing a new steering gear from Red-Head. After pressure washing the engine bay and the 1/2" of grease off of the old steering gear it started leaking fluid like crazy. Also picked up the transmission from the shop, had it rebuilt with a shift kit and heavy duty torque converter and had the transfer case resealed with new gaskets and seals. The motor is a 383 stroker with World S/R heads, Crower Baja Beast cam, Weiand intake, Holley Street Avenger 670 cfm carb, and MSD E-Curve distributor. Should be a little better than the 155 horsepower 350 that was in it.

Took the day off work yesterday and got the hard part done after a lot of cussing and yelling. It was one of those days where nothing went smoothly and wrestling with the transmission and transfer case alone is not a fun thing to do, but it's all in place and bolted up. Now if the @%^& powder coater would get my brackets and pulleys done, which he said would be done 2 days ago, I should be able to be driving it again by the weekend.
I know I could have spent some time cleaning up and painting some things under the hood, but I will eventually be replacing both inner fenders and tearing everything back apart to paint the Blazer. So for now it will be left alone and I will be driving it for the summer. |

It's Alive. Got it fired up late Sunday afternoon. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet, still have to put the exhaust back on, drivelines in, and button up a few little things but at least I know it is going to run and it sounds great. Barely touched the key and it fired right off.
