Front suspension

I have another question about my 64, I was given a 75 C10 LWB and I want to know if the control arms can be installed on my 64. I want the 5 lug pattern and power brakes.

Yes it will all fit, there use to be a sticky about this but it seems to be gone. do a search and you will find a couple of threads on this subject.

Yes it will all work....suspension, steering box, master cylinder, prop valve, etc.

If you don't want to switch the whole crossmember, and just switch the control arms and the rest, I would suggest drilling out the holes in the original crossmember so you can use the larger U-bolts from the '75.

Thanks guys. I also was reading the article about 2.5 and 3 inch spindles, I gather that if you run 15s the 2.5 spindle clears the wheels. I had that problem on my 89 C1500 with spindles rubbing the stock aluminum wheels. I appreciate the info...I will run the stock steelies till I can get the BIG WHEELS.

Thanks for the pics. Did you use one of CaptainFabs Power steering Brackets?

I used the same bracket as he did. Bought it same place too. It's a REZ Engineering kit and it is very high quality. I like it because it uses an inner frame plate as well as the outer one.
