As long as the brackets allow for mounting the unit, it should no issues with the other A/C components. Try the stock hoses prior to getting custom hoses, might work well.

Re: Sanden 508 ac compressor???

Sorry for the delayed post. I replaced my stock A6 compressor with a Sandon. Mines on a big block. I got a bracket from Alan Grove. Had to experiment with about a dozen belts till i found one that worked due to tall valve covers. Sandons fitting are a different size that stock, so new hoses and the tube on the bottom of the accumulator had to be cut and a smaller fitting welded on the fit the new hose. Let me know and I will take some pics if you are still interested. Also I was told the chrome one runs hotter that the polished one and the chome isn't garenteed to stay on.

here's a couple of pics of mine.i have ran the lines different since these pics.but, you get the idea.you'll probably have to take it to a shop that does a/c work and have them crimp the ends on your hose's.they'll have the end's.then you can get it charged too.alan grove can hook you up with brackets for your head's and system.their good to deal with.i just called them and told them what i wanted.the polished compressor i have does get hot.i wasn't aware of a chrome one when i bought mine a few year's ago.they are a big improvement over stock monster.

Re: Sanden 508 ac compressor???

i had started a similar thread that got some good responses:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=413979

no hose modification necessary with this little beauty:

http://www.nostalgicairparts.com/air...ad-back-16.php

description:
Sanden 508 / SD5H14 Compressor back (head). The head has a GM Pad mount for original GM hoses. This back has five bolt holes to mount to the rear of the compressor. Any Sanden five series compressor with five bolt holes on the rear will accept this rear head. The head includes the rear gasket.

and ... its only 29.99- much cheaper than modifying the hoses.
