Cab Corners?

Does one of the vendors sell a cab corner that is bigger side to side or in particular, wraps farther around the back? I need to put one on my passenger side to finish up, but the rust extended further around the back than the other side. I think I bought he other one from Classic Parts, but another like it wouldn't come close to covering the space.

I can't say for sure, but I'm thinking they're all the same. You might have to extend the corner with some 18ga to take care of the rust. Unless you can find a cab to cut that piece out of. I had to do that on a '67 I'm working on to fix the mess the PO made trying to scab in a cab corner.

I bought 3 for my 64 GMC---None of them fit worth a damn!
3 different suppliers!
None were big enough!
And none were shaped right!

I just got cab corners from Tx Firefighter, he got them from Classicparts.com and one was a good one and one was the bad one, they looked just like this pic from 65Custom's thread
http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...1&d=1256092158

I called classic and they happily sent me another to match the good one. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the smaller one may be for the 67-72's actually..........
here are the pics of mine

Re: Cab Corners?

I had to learn the hard way cost me twice as much as it should but in the end I got the parts that fit petty dang good

I took a queue from Alan he told me he had to use two to get hem to work and did some research and bought the second set which were better than the first set I got

I thought that I was going to have to use two to make one as he did

I think that some one bought a boat load of bad parts and they decided to sell them
The smaller ones are for 60 to 66 the are just bad stampings

the ones from classic parts are thicker material, have a bigger door jam lip and the weld flange at the back wall is formed correctly but it does not fit exaclty it needs a little work to get it where it should be

also the shape at the bottom that meets the rocker is correct and more defined than the other cheaper parts

Re: Cab Corners?

The ones I bought didn't fit perfect either (Classic Truck Parts). One side was fine, cause I didn't use the complete corner. The othe side needed some work to fit. Nothing to hard since I was already welding in that area. The rear edge didn't qiute line up. You can see I had a small bump on the bottom edge (fixed since this pic).
