slider bar/ additional jack point

hey gents, nearing the end of my project here and now it's getting to time for the rocker pannel repair
i was wondering
has anyone or does anyone have a reccomendation for running some square tubing below my rockers for a slider bar or a additional lift point?

got any ideas?
i was thinking two or three inch square tube, then i can run the supports to the frame and bolt/weld them to the frame

wanting to do this the same time i make an "X" for my rear frame
i'll be putting a trailer hitch in (just bolt on) but then boxing the frame near it with pretty much a large "X" so while im tugging folks out of the mud i quit twisting parts back there...

thanks for inputs... and pictures are even better!

Two option's:

Go square tubing or perhaps something more...:chevy:

If you were closer, I'd give you the square tubing I pulled off.

Couple more pics of the square tubing and how it's mounted, sorry those are all I have.

My gallery is down at the moment so no pics to share...

I used 2x3 square tubing. But I removed both outer and inner rockers(rusted) and welded the tubing directly to the rocker box and body pillers....basically cut out a spot, floor jacked up the tubing welded it in place :uhmk:

Was going to say what they said, and you could weld some a sheet of steel with dimples onto the tubes.
I think what your thinking about the back x would work too, but at the end of the frame hammer some c channel on then weld it it will make the frame more solid. similar to this but ending over the rails.

just be careful how and where u mount it. These frames are designed to twist right after the cab and a solid mount strattling this point will cause tears if not done right. I think petersons did a write up on this on a CUCV they where building . I want to ad some to mine also rock sliders seem very usefull. I know alot of companies make em for K5's but have not seen any for trucks. ORD had talked about it but i don't think they ended up doing it.
