Does it happen when you turn the steering wheel? Do you have power steering? Check your tranny fluid also.

yesterday i checked everything with a friend, we did not find any thing wrong. but my friend find the sound coming from harmonic balancer, when he removed it he find that the grove is damaged and need to replace the harmonic balancer.
what choices do i have for such balancer would the small V8 engine fits my engine?

Last time I was in your area, there were tons of Chevy sedans running around. Maybe it's time to drop a small block into your truck. Parts will be more available.

Re: 292 engine problem

after removing the engine we find the problem. first problem is with the harmonic balancer was not set tight due to a crack in the center......:smoke:
the second problem is with the flywheel, because the harmonic was not set tight it cause a vibration and that vibration affect on the screw on the flywheel and make them to lose......al:bann:l fixed and i'm happy
