Lowering the front end
I didn't see this in the FAQ's so here goes:
If I get the 2.5" lowering spindles, is that all you have to do to get 2.5"? Or do I still need to cut a round out of the springs too? Thanks for any help on this subject. |
Re: Lowering the front end
No, to accomodate the 2.5" drop up front, just throw on a set of 2.5" drop spindles and you will be set.
Unless... you are putting them on a 67-70. If so, you will have to update to disc brakes. |
Re: Lowering the front end
i would suggest new drop shocks as well

Re: Lowering the front end
Thanks for the info guys. I have a 68, but it already has disc brakes. Who knows where from?

Re: Lowering the front end
For spindle drops only, the shock requirements don't change (length of travel needed) so there's not much need for special 'drop' shocks. Off the shelf replacement p/n's would work too.
If shorter springs or bags are in the future plans & you're spending the coin for new shocks, drop shocks are the better investment. |
