lift kit questions???
Ive been saving money for a blazer or starting a project I already have(Im the kinda person that changes their mind every five seconds lol). The question is if I buy a lift kit say for my swb 4x4 will it work with a blazer I get down the road? Or will I have to get a different lift?

Re: lift kit questions???
I think so? Just measure the length of the rear springs. Its something like 52 inches and i think they are all the same so it should work.

Re: lift kit questions???
i put a lift kit off a gmc k25 on my 71 jimmy, and it sits a bit low in the back. i believe its a common problem with doing this kind of swap. kits that are specifically for blazers/jimmys use a larger lift in the rear to compensate for the saggy a$$ syndrome.

Re: lift kit questions???
depends on the extent of the kit.
99% will swap but like ld said, if you get rear springs they may not match up, all chevys could have had 52 or 56" springs. the fronts, steering, ubolts and blocks will all swap, with respect to bodystyles. ie a 60-72 front spring will not work with 73-91. |
Re: lift kit questions???
chances are the lift will stay in the shortbox, but if I get a blazer in spring and dont have much extra cash I would like that to be an option. Thanks for the info guys:metal:
