Aux. Battery Tray
Auxillary battery tray. Removed from a 1970 GMC Suburban. There is a little rust on the tray, but the side panels are in good shape. $75/bo plus shipping.

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Do you have the wiring for the second battery setup? Thanks!

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
I don't know how complete the wiring is, but there is some there with the selector switch to select single, dual, or off. Same type of switch often found on fire trucks. That would be extra as I was planning on keeping that for my own dual battery setup, but will take offers.

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Since the tray is bad it could be cut and I think the sides could be put in a USPS flat rate box. $65 shipped?
|
Re: Aux. Battery Tray
I would have a hard time guessing what it is that you would accept, but here goes. $30. Please feel free to counter offer if this isn't good, as I cant see what and dont know what it is that I am offering a price for. Thanks

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
OldBlue. I will get out there and get pictures hopefully soon of the old wiring.
Woodridge: The tray isn't in too bad of shape, but I will check to see if it'll fit in a medium flat rate. if it will, then i can do $65 shipped. if it needs a Large one, then I would need $70. Would you care if it is one cut down the center or two cuts near the edges, but not into the bracket area (might help it fit better) If it won't fit into either of those, I will find a box and get a quote. |
Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Thanks Jimmy, No big rush here. But I am interested!

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Two cuts would be ok as I'll be replacing the tray. Do you take PP? Either way, PM me your info.

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Battery tray sold.
Pictures of the Wiring is coming. I check it today and the only thing I see mission is the passenger side negative cable. The switch and the wires to the positives and the starter are there. |
Re: Aux. Battery Tray
If you end up removing the wiring for me, could you wrap each wire end with a piece of masking tape and lable where it connects? I'm electrically chalanged. Thanks Jimmy!

Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Sure thing. It's actually easy on this one.
This is the switch mounted on the Passenger side inner fender. One wire to the starter, one wire to each battery http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...n/100_1039.jpg wire to driver's side (in front of radiator) and negative cable (not connected to anything, just sitting there.) http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...n/100_1040.jpg Driver's side didn't have a negative cable (truck didn't come with batteries) but I assume that the stock ones on this side would be fine. The switch has the options of NONE, 1, 2, BOTH for the batteries. |
Re: Aux. Battery Tray
Hi Jimmy
Thanks for the pictures. I notice that what you have is a switch and I am looking for the automatic battery isolator box. I'm gonna have to let this pass. John |
