How about some pics of your S10 conversion @ ride height

For those of you who have completed your finished ride height on your S-10 conversion can you please post some pics of your trucks at ride height? If you can also include any chassis mods, rim & tire sizes, and the height the body sits from the frame it would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is almost complete except for 18"'s on front and 20"'s out back. But this is how mine sits now with 16" extreme wheels. The ride height should be almost the same after checking the tire circumfrance. The body sits off the frame a 4X4 block +/- 1/2 inch measuring from floor pan to frame. Front has 2 inch spindles and 1 inch dropped coils, back has second spring removed and 2 inch blocks.

1952ssr, what did you use for wheel spacers on yours?

How wide are the extreme wheels? I had to do 1" spacers on my 4wd s10 rear to get the 15x7 (3.75"bs) wheels to clear the bedsides with no tubbing, and I'm looking at what I should do on the front. Thanks!

They are 16 X 8 with zero offset.

Mines 4" off the ZR2 frame - no wheel spacers up front - 1 1/4" spacers in the rear to make the stock 31" tires fit

1952ssr, Did I read that correctly 4" +/- 1/2" off the frame? Thanks for sharing.

I'll go down to the shop tonight and make sure, and take some pictures.

I didn't get to the shop last night, was shopping for last minute gifts. Within the next few days off I'll get some pictures and measurements. I'll get back with everyone next week, I don't have the net at home.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Heres mine. Nothing fancy done to it. It's stock ride hight for the s10. I think the back of the front fender is about 6" off the ground.

Re: How about some pics of your S10 conversion @ ride height

Well got in 10 hours of work on the '51 Saturday. Here are some pictures to get a better idea where my cab sits. About 5-5 1/2 inches off between frame and floor pan in the battery mounting hole. Notice in the second, hard to see it but there is a 3/4 piece of square tubing between the top body mount cup and original cab channel. Those brackets were made using the left over frame cut from the back and a s10 body mount bracket.

Others: second is from bottom of back of cab to frame about 3 1/2

Not a great pic and wheels have changed but:

http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z...k/100_1876.jpg

Stock S10 suspension with 3" blocks in the rear. 2" spacers all the way around, S10 4x4 rear end. Body sits about 5" off the frame (4" blocks and 1" stock S10 body mount). Rear cab mounts are stock '54 shackle mounts. 327/NV3500 5 speed.

About 8-9" to the running board bottom.

FiftyTwo, Nice! Your truck is awesome looking. I was going to do the same thing with my gas filler neck also, but I didn't want to chance screwing up my bed side so I didn't. Instead I put a wood box in the back of the bed. Check it out in post number 16.

LEEVON, you don't want one of these truck. :mmmk: J/K  I think that we should try to save them all. :metal:
