C notch questions
I am starting my C notch (weld in) in the next few days and am wondering if there is concern for supporting the rear portion of frame behind the axle to prevent warping/misalignment. If I do need to worry there what the heck can ya do to support it while installing the notch? This is on my 72 c-10 short super build. It has rear coils.

Re: C notch questions
I would just cut it and weld in your notch....if you are woried then tack weld a piece of angle iron on top of the frame rail that wil stop it from doing anything funny....just be sure to put your jack stands in front of the axle

Re: C notch questions
Weld the sides and top of the notch to the frame first. Next, cut the frame out from the notch.

Re: C notch questions
I don't see a need for extra support for a C-notch. But if its a step notch, that's a whole other animal.

The notch on the dr side is complete. The sway bar is an Aadco and is for an ~82-93 camaro rear. I used a thread from this site to install it and it looks great. The sway bar will have a close clearance on the rear facing horizontal portion at the rear of the notch. I havn't compressed the suspension enough to see what it will really do but will soon. I intend on pivoting the horizontal portion angled downward maybe *15-20 to help clearance. It should be fine. I will get some picts of the clearance tomorrow when I start the other side.
