Strange Problems
Alright i have a 84 chevy c10 and when i turn the blinkers on something strange happens.... both front blinkers work how they are suppose to but when i turn the blinkers one way or the other Both back lights light up. also my running/tail lights dont work and my brake lights... any help or ideas on how to troubleshoot this would be much appreciated.

That's not all that strange, Two common things to check.
Grounding,which this problem is. Should be a black wire that go's to the frame.They will windup broken or rusty at the frame Some times a good place to start is trailer plugs,I have seen some pretty bad wiring done to hook one up. Also this may help with wire color, Left turns are yellow right turns are dark green tail lights are brown backup lights are light green Grounds are black |

i agree with the ground issue but it could also be a bulb issue check the sockets to see if there is a wrong bulb in the socket a single element bulb (1156) in a double filament socket (1157) can do this or visa versa...only if someone changed a bulb recently or this truck is new to you

thanks a ton for that color coding found out why my right blinker would turn on when i turned the left one on haha they had it switched around. i regrounded and spliced in some brand new wire and its all good to go thanks guys.
