Tell us about your gaols. How low do you want the truck to be? This will help us guide you in the right direction.

Take a look at our suspension forum. There is a LOT of good info to read up on there.

i just want to be able to sit it down on the frame rails if that is acheivable without anything major done... i just want to be able to be low when i can and lift it when i need to because the roads around her suck but i like the low trucks.

Look around here.
www.porterbuiltstreetrods.com.

Ken's right,... look in the suspension section.
There's a bunch of info there.

To lay frame a front and back dropmember are your best bet but you'll have to do some worth.

to figure out how big of a notch you will need is pretty simple, measure from ground to bottom of your frame in the middle of your truck. lets say you got 9", then measure from the top of your axel to your frame. and lets say you got 5". so thats 4" diff, plus you got to add in the bags most are around 3" compressed but you want that info before you start, and you got to find the bag brackets you are going to use. I forget what mine are but I will measure them tomorrow and let ya know. but you want a bigger bag for the front, the front is easy to do, I made my own set up. but check around for the rear look at alot of pics and get the style you want, depending on where you put the bags meen alot, ride quality, or if your going to be towing and ect. I got my bags from airbagit.com and theres alot of forums on there to look at too.
