Hello,

I want to redo my factory A/C what parts will I need. It is a 78 chevy blazer.

it had factory A/C It has the A/C brackets but no compressor, hoses or condensor.

what will i need to bring it back to life.

Considering what a replacement compressor would cost you, I would consider buying an aftermarket compressor and bracket. Something like what Vintage Air uses, but cheaper. Nice inexpensive brackets are available from Allen Grove.

It will be comparably priced, more efficient, and NEW. The available rebuilt compressors that most stores carry appear to be junk. I will go this route if my compressor goes out again.

You'll need all of the parts you listed, of course, plus any missing wiring ductwork, control cables, etc. Even if the parts are still there, you want to replace your orifice tube and accumulator. They aren't considered reusable.

Any tubing, hoses, etc that are left on the truck should be replaced or flushed. I would probably replace all of the o-rings since they are an unknown at this point. It isn't that hard, and they cost almost nothing.

Checkout www.lmctruck.com You'll find detailed pictures of parts needed. R134 is more efficient with a larger condensor. A stock condensor is too small. I would try to install a larger aftermarket or a stock condensor from a 90's truck with R134.
