How many inches of rake for the perfect stance? Pictures always help
To you guys that think you have nailed the right stance how much lower is your front fenderwell than the rear?
Right now my Blazer sits about 1" lower in the rear than the front and I was hoping to fix it by putting a taller tire in the rear instead of having to redo the rear suspension. I'm thinking about 255-40-20 (28" tall) fronts and 295-45-20 (30.4"tall) rear, is that going to be enough rake? Can you guys post some pictures of your truck and measure the wheel well heights for me? Thanks |

The rear wasn't all the way down in this pic. It should be about 1-2" lower but it gives you an idea of where it was headed. I thought the rake was looking good.

I think it looks just about perfect the way it is there but I like a lot of rake. That looks like about 2-3" or rake?

this is a great question cause im having the same question i try to even out the stance of the truck buit it doesnt look right when its even unless its laying on the ground, if my suspension woes continue, i think im just going to bag the front so i can adjust the amount of rake on the fly.

I think it'll vary from truck to truck. Depending on how much your factory springs are already sagging.

I ran mine with around 8" of rake for years (measured at the body line above axle centers) and was happy, it looked like a cartoon ride but.
Eventually I lowered the rear 4" and with the tire combo I'm running it looks good in my opinion |

Well I've been told that I have the perfect stance... but it depends on what you like. Mine measures 25 3/4" in front and 26 5/8" in the rear. Measuements were taken in the middle of each wheel...

I'd equal differences from top of rim to bottom of fender or a couple of inches higher in the rear a I think it was 24 3/4 front 27 1/2 rear

The front tires are stock heighth, and the rears are one inch taller. I think there is a 2 inch rake, but seriously havent measured it. I will if anyone wants it tho.

Re: How many inches of rake for the perfect stance? Pictures always help
My favorite look on a static dropped truck always puts the fender lips about an inch above the wheel (20's front and back) with the tires tucking. Classic87 is a pretty good example.
If I had the bed on my truck I could get pics at what ever ride height you needed... |

CLASSIC87- How much did you lower yours and how? What wheel sizes are you using? That is a great stance, for sure! I'm going to blatantly copy you.
