door locks????
 

I have a 68' C-10 that the door locks wiil not work when the doors are closed. If they are open the lock mechanism travels it full distance, but if they are closed, they wont. I put new locks in because I didnt have any keys for the old ones. Everything seems to be installed correctly. Has anyone else had these problems or does anyone have a solution.

sounds like they are not installed correctly, make sure the little fork on the inside is matched with the lock mechanism

Yeah door locks can be a pain. Sometimes they will lock and you can't get the key out cause they won't travel that far after they latch. You just have to keep messing with them and make sure everything is lined up.

Well, I just got both of them to work. It actually had to do with the striker plates. They were both adjusted in just far enough that it would not allow the fork to insert itself in. After pulling each one out just enough, they both worked great...thanks for the quick replies.
