vaccuum booster with 1barrel carb

is this possible. my truck is a L6 with 1 barrel carb. 250ci. the truck has disk brakes but i'm looking to upgrade to power disk near future. i'm going to get a kit that has drop spindles. so, can a 1 barrel carb produce enough vaccuum to operate a power brake system?

The engine makes the vacume, need to find or install another vacume port somewhere.

find or make (drill and tap) a port in the intake manifold?

Very possible as they said. I had power discs on my 68 w/a 250/3spd.

Every inline 6 I have ever seen had a fitting on the intake manifold below where the carb mounts just for the brake vacuum fitting. GM sold them with power brake option forever. You're good to go.

Vacuum. They even made special offset air cleaners so it would clear the brake booster.

Here is my old truck with one on it.

Vacuum boost w/discs all swapped over. I couldn't find the offset air cleaner like TxFirefighter had so I used a smaller aftermarket set-up for a 1-barrel carb.

i looked at mine awhile ago and couldn't come up with a vaccuum source, yet. i did however find lots of leaks. s#!t. can someone post a side picture of their L6 so i can see the area they are using?

Thanks . it's a "spray can rebuild" I took the manifolds off to replace the gaskets and thought I would sandblast and paint them while off... then had to clean the block and paint that...took off valve cover sandblast and paint, all with spray cans .one thing just led to another. Found the air cleaner at local pick n pull more spray can paint . Here's the before
