High hump is bolted in.

High hump comes up as high as the seat bottom in front of the seat.

I think mine came factory low hump, but it has a shifter on the floor. The hump looks hastily cut. If I were to replace the entire floor (yes, it needs it) should I go with a high hump? I plan on swapping a T56 or similar into it behind a big block later on.

Only low hump floors are made. You can cut and install a high hump, though.

The pans are the same and interchangeable.Only the hump itself is different. As 68350 said, all 4wds had high-hump and only big block or 4spd 2wds did. But,the impression is there for the bolting surface of the high hump.GM offered replacement cabs for a while, but only non-air low-hump.Instructions were included for adapting for both a/c and high-hump.

So this one is unfortunately a low-hump? And I would need a tall hump?

Yes,you can cut the hump out,lay high hump over, drill through mounting hole locations, tack nuts underneath, and you`re done. This is what I`ll be doing on my rust free California cab for my`67 project.I`m using an M22 4spd (which works under a low hump) and I want a high hump for easier access to the shifter assembly. It`s a pain to mess with that stuff all up against the floor and over the transmission.
