Exhaust manifold question
4 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know what these fit? I assume 67-72.Are they aftermarket or GM?

Re: Exhaust manifold question
SBC...probably a 327ci or 350ci motor.

Re: Exhaust manifold question
I may have found the answer on the Dorman exhaust site. Can some one confirm this is a 69-72 NOS exhaust manifold?

I don't have a parts lookup or a casting number book with me right now. So someone else will have to look that up for you. But by sheer looks alone, it appears to be correct. |

I find it odd that GM isn't stamped on it.
My '68 manifold has the assy bracket but, other than that, you will notice dimples near the bolt holes and the GM logo stamping. |

I will look at my 69 tonight. I said NOS because if you see it in person it appears to never have been on a vehicle. I also have this one which is definately aftermarket.

Re: Exhaust manifold question
It might be a repop. I think the 'rams' look a little too smooth and fluid. The originals were very rough castings with casting marks pretty evident. I don't know for sure though.

I also got these and have no clue what they are from?

Re: Exhaust manifold question
There's one little detail in this picture that makes me sure it's aftermarket...

For a 69+ truck, I would say no to the 2nd pic for sure. I know by '69 those accessory mounts were all but gone on the manifold except for MAYBE the 'Vette, and even that I'm not sure without my book. |

Re: Exhaust manifold question
I bought a couple of trucks and a bunch of parts and these were included. I am probably going to sell them and did not want to misrepresent the item. What do you think is a fair price if we consider them both repops?
|
Re: Exhaust manifold question
You can research them through Summit. They sell Dorman aftermarket manifolds for these old trucks. That would give you a new price so you can figure what your price would be from there.
|
Re: Exhaust manifold question
For a pair from Summitt to your door would be about $250. I was wondering what I could possibly get for them on the parts board? I know everyone here is cheap.

Re: Exhaust manifold question
I just checked my book from the first set of pics. 3932469 maps to LH 69-70 350,400ci small block, passenger car, no AIR. Dipstick indent is the little valley next to the "695" number, so this would have also been a driver's side dipstick car.
They will work correctly on a truck since trucks 67-72 need a curved dump for best fit. They should have a GM logo, so need first pics are repops. And we all know what the ones from China are all about. |
