any one lay frame and still have ac

Hey guys , im about to get the porterbuilt bolt on rear bagg set up so i can lay frame. afterwards im going to take on the front, im getting the porterbuilt dropmember and bag set up. i have 16 in torque trusters with 235- 60-r16 tires not very tall. and i have the vintage air complete replacement ac for a 71 fleetside and if you have layed frame and have a set close to this or can just give me a hand or let me see your build pics get at me thanks

I think an aftermarket A/C unit is necessary to use the Dropmember.
You have to eliminate the big bulky A/C underhood box that came on these trucks.
Sorry I haven't done this,... but maybe someone else will chime in with info or pics.

My build is incorporating a vintage air system an will lay frame with a 29" tire

do a search for "old aux" Nate documents the entire build on the thread, might help you out or give you some insight. good luck.

I have the stock ac box and I am laying out on a 28" tall tire with a dropmember and a stock spindle. My upper control arm is hammered into the box when its layed out. Check out my build thread for some pics.

Thanks! I still need to hook it all back up but you can get the idea. You should be able to lay out, your tires are only around 27" tall so you shouldn't have any problems. It's all about the overall diameter of the wheel and tire. I will be switching to a 20" wheel and as long as I stay around the 28" overall I will still be able to lay frame. Keep us posted with updates and if you have anymore questions just ask!

Here is an example of what I was going to do with my blower box, but this is for 73+. I took the pic from another site.
