A higher stall is not a good idea with a diesel. Diesel transmissions have different valve body calibrations & governors than gas engines. Is the replacment from a diesel pick-up?

Re: torque converter???

no the replacement is from a gas rig. i was under the imression that all i needed to do is change the torque converter/vac modulator and gov over to the diesel stuff and she would be good to go behind my 6.2. im looking for a stock diesel torque converter stall so i can source one online.
