V6 TO V8 CONVERSION

I have a 4.3 V6 in my truck and it is sick, the factory carb is sick and they want $475.00 for a new one. I can buy a 350 V8 for that price. Now here is the question. Has anyone done this and did you run into any problems? I think all I need to change is the motor mounts, exhaust and raditor?
Any advise would be helpful !!!!

Actually engine mounts should be the identical clam shell style, just possibly may need to be relocated to a different ste of holes, which will already be drilled in the crossmember and frame rails.
