fuel pump advice
i'm looking to replace my fuel pump while i have my front clip off (might as well).
right now i have a standard AC delco pump with two rubber lines and one hard line up to the carb. i want to put an Edelbrock preformer pump on since it puts out a lower psi. this way i won't need a fuel pressure regulator for my edelbrock 1406 carb. butttt....the edelbrock pump has one inlet and one outlet...how can i make this work? thoughts? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-1721/ |
Re: fuel pump advice
So are you saying how can you make it work with "with the two rubber lines" ???

Re: fuel pump advice

Re: fuel pump advice
Soooo, do you have dual fuel tanks? I am wondering if you have the 2 lines, one coming from each tank???

Re: fuel pump advice
i do have dual tanks, so maybe it is one front each tank? i'm not sure, i'll have to go trace them back

Re: fuel pump advice
If it is, just get a Tee fitting and you're golden...

Re: fuel pump advice
The larger of the two is the feed line and the smaller is a return line. The two port (in and out) pump will work. Just block off the return line.

Re: fuel pump advice
Yup the smaller hose on the inlet side of the pump is just a return. just plug the line and call it good. The bigger 3/8's line is the fuel feed.
