Pitman Arm Question

So I searched the sight and found a few threads about what pitman arm to use for crossover steering. But what I didn't find were 2 answers that were alike. So here's my question...On my 72 GMC with a dana 44 front axle I want to install crossover steering. I've pieced a kit together but can't seem to figure out what pitman arm to use with the 2wd drive box I have. I have approx 7 inches of lift. I've heard that I can use a ford bronco arm, but no one was specific on what years would work. If anyone can tell me which pitman arm will work for me, or point me in the direction I should be looking I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Re: Pitman Arm Question

Ive used pitman arms from dodges, fords and jeeps. There are alot of arms out there that will work. The bronco arms I have used in the past are for a 78-79 bronco. Ive used the superlift drop arm on my truck with 6+ lifts. If your using GM dranklink ends then you will have to ream out the tirerod hole in the bronco arm.

Other arms I have used are skyjacker arms for 94+ dodge rams. The taper is the right size but the indexing is just a bit off. Even so, they have more drop that the superlift bronco arms and the indexing being off by 1 tooth isnt enough of a noticable differance. Its the number one arm I use whenever Im building crossover systems. Hope that helps.
