Fuel Filler
Ok so we installed a Poly Blazer Tank on my sons 71. We used a marine filler and 1.5" flexible filler hose, problem was the neck on the poly tank is 1 3/8". We clamped down on it really good but now its leaking. Anybody have any suggestions? We can't seem to find a reducer that small anywhere. I have seen other posts talk about welding a new spout on, but since it's a poly we dont have that option. Thanks in advance for your help

Re: Fuel Filler
If it's like my burb.
The hose size is an odd ball ID measurement. I got mine at a industrial hose supply house, it is USCG fuel rated and it fits just right. The shop I get stuff like this at is a shop that caters to heavy equipment hydraulic hose and fittings, check around your area for such a place and I am sure they will set you up right. |
Re: Fuel Filler
I had the SAME problem. I bought my 1 3/8" filler hose from West Marine. Tightened it down....no more leaky.

Re: Fuel Filler
might try cutting a short section of another hose(the correct diameter) to use as a filler.
